I started out late, had turned 13 when I got my first computer in
1991, a 286 12Mhz with 640kb memory, 44MB of harddisk, and MS-DOS 3.3.
Later, I got MS-DOS 5.0 and felt so advanced because I could handcraft my config.sys and autoexec.bat. Fought hard against Windows 3.0 and 3.1, but eventually caved in to Windows 95 and NT 4.
Later,, in 1999, I started uni and all the cool 3 year students were using this Linux thing. I hated it. Made me feel like a n00b. So, I went ahead and themed my MS-DOS like a BASH shell with aliases so that I could type ls and cp instead of dir and copy.
Have come a long way since.
